Just prior to immigrating to the United States, I had been working on my doctorial thesis at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Kosice, Czechoslovakia, from where I had received my degree and license to practice veterinary medicine in 1986. After immigrating to, and after gaining considerable veterinary experience working in the United States, I continued my education at the University of Missouri-Columbia College of Veterinary Medicine, from where I was conferred the honors and privileges to practice veterinary medicine in the United States.
Our house is shared with three cats (of which two are strays) a little girl Chihuahua, whose name is Ushko; and a little boy Chihuahua, called Spoony. In my spare time I enjoy reading, photography and antiquing.
